Recycling Concrete

Premix Concrete SA encourages the re-use of leftover concrete by manufacturing stackable concrete blocks which are useful in creating retaining walls, protective barriers or used as retaining weights. We can only make so many per day with the fixed number of moulds and limited space available to us.
Therefore, once the moulds are full, additional leftover concrete must be discarded. Premix Concrete does not discard these leftovers to landfill. Instead, we take it to recycling facilities that accept the waste concrete and process it into other useful products such as recycled aggregates for concrete, or construction rubble for the base preparation of a concrete foundation slab.
Once set, leftover concrete can be broken up and placed into a crushing machine.
Premix Concrete SA works with Adelaide Resource Recovery and ResoureCo to recycle leftover concrete.
